Is London’s Portobello market really worth a visit?
During the week it’s mainly fruit and veg and other foods.
On Fridays and Saturdays there’s a bric-a-brac and clothes marketplace
at the northern end. On Saturdays it’s antiques and all sorts
of other activities at the southern end, in shops, arcades,
and temporary stalls. As for “worth a go to,” of course this will depend on everything you like.
I really like the Saturday marketplace, but it’s extremely crowded these days, so it could be a struggle just looking to get along the street.
